Dear Friends of Earth & Soul, 

In February, 2025 John Philip Newell and Matthew Fox shared a time of dialogue in which Matthew spoke about an article he had written called ‘The Hole in the Nicene Creed.’ He says the hole is that the teachings and wisdom of Jesus are entirely missing. We need to return to the wisdom of Jesus if we are to be well, and remember that this wisdom can also be found deep in the teachings of the world’s other great traditions. 

We offer you this video of the dialogue that you may be inspired by these two great teachers of our time. Following the video perhaps pause for some time after the dialogue to reflect on what is stirring in your soul. Earth & Soul is committed to following the wisdom of Jesus rather than doctrines about Jesus and when we return to this ancient wisdom we come into deeper awareness of how we are being called back into true relationship with one another and with Earth. 

Saturday, June 20 we invite you to join us for a Solstice Celebration online. We will share in a time of prayer, spiritual practice and reflection together in community. Details and registration can be found here.

O Soul within all souls
