Dear Friends of Earth & Soul,
We have just experienced the beauty of the full moon and, as I write to you from my garden this evening, there is also an awareness of the coming solstice, that time of the greatest difference in light and dark depending on where you are in the world. Earth and the cosmos show us so beautifully the ebb and flow of all things and the gift of living in harmony with the natural world. We are made to live in the flow of life unfolding, not in opposition. May we awaken to this wisdom in our daily actions, words, way of being, and in how we interact with one another and care for Earth and all living beings.
It is a delight to share with you upcoming events and the addition of a new pilgrimage week on Iona coming in September 2026.
Thresholds of Hope and Creativity: A Pilgrimage of Spiritual Practice - September 12-19, 2026 on the Isle of Iona. This week, led by Cami Twilling, will be rooted in Celtic wisdom as we explore the thresholds we are in the midst of today – as a world, as nations and religious traditions, and as individuals. Mornings begin with meditation and silent prayer. Each day we will walk to a particular place on the island for a spiritual practice that invites listening, creativity and imagining the way forward together. We each carry deep wisdom within just as Earth holds deep wisdom for us to draw on. Evening rituals will include tai-chi like movement as a way of connecting with our bodies, grounding down into Earth and opening to the cosmos. How do we sustain ourselves in times of change that we may be strengthened to live more compassionately in the world? You are invited to come listen, imagine, and dream the way forward together. Registration is open through the Columba Hotel.

In the midst of the ebb and flow of life let us pray together that we may be part of the healing, that we may be healed, and that we may forever know our oneness with Earth and one another.
