Dear Friends of Earth & Soul,
In the early morning light out for a walk around a lake in the city, the outline of the mountains hazy from wildfire smoke, my heart felt heavy with the weight of so much that is going on in the world. I held Earth and her inhabitants within me as I walked, praying for wisdom, compassion, and healing for us all. A little patch of wildflowers came into view, a red-winged black bird perched on an impossibly thin twig, and an intricate spider web glistening with dew. I stopped to gaze at the simplicity, beauty and sense of peace in that moment. The universe has a way of reminding us to slow down and pay attention. While the beauty and joy do not take away the horrors and sorrows neither is the beauty diminished. We live with both right in front of us. The flowers do not refuse to grow because the soil is not perfect. The spider does not cease weaving webs when the wind blows. Let us too create beauty, live with compassion, and love Earth and her life forms in the midst of it all. Shall we practice noticing together this month? And in noticing be inspired to be part of the beauty and joy in the midst of the deep challenges of this moment. We are not alone, we have one another, the flowers, birds, spiders, rivers, sky, and trees. And we have all come from the heart of God.
We have an exciting opportunity to share with you. Throughout the weekend of September 11-13, 2026 the film Hebridean Treasure: Lost & Found will be available for screening on a donation basis. We are taking it to India in December 2026 to perform in Auroville and are planning at the same time to film a more creative and professional version so that we can offer it to a wider audience, hopefully through the BBC in Britain or Public Television in the United States. All funds raised will help enable this filming. Please see below for all the details.
We invite you to join us for one of our many Earth & Soul events in-person or online this autumn. We have the opportunity to be together in community, to share in the honoring of the sacredness of one another and Earth and listen together to our deep collective wisdom.

Let us pray the deepest yearnings of our hearts together and remember our connectedness is stronger than anything that threatens to tear us apart.

May the universe
be on fire with Presence for us this day.
May the new sun’s rising
grace us with gratitude.
Let Earth’s greenness shine
and its waters breathe with Spirit.
Let heaven’s winds stir the soil of our soul
and fresh awakenings rise within us.
May the mighty angels of light
glisten in all things this day.
May they summon us to reverence,
may they call us to life.
