March Connections from Earth & Soul

Dear Friends of Earth & Soul,

Greetings to you as we near the Spring Equinox for those in the northern hemisphere and the Autumnal Equinox for those in the southern hemisphere. These moments invite us to pause as we move into a new season and all it brings.

We invite you to join us for a shared Threshold Community: House Gathering on Sunday, March 24 from 2-3:30pm (MDT) via Zoom as we listen to what we are being invited to pay attention to in this threshold time. If you have been interested in beginning a House Gathering or would like to learn more this is a time for spiritual practice together followed by 30 minutes to ask questions. In this threshold time of moving from one season to the next let us bring our awareness to Earth and the rhythms of the natural world. May we have courage to grow in seasons of growth and rest when it is time to rest. Take time to pause in the coming weeks to pay attention to the changing seasons. As you read the prayer below listen to what is stirring within you. Spend some time outside or near a window and let Earth hold you. With your hand on your heart speak these words to Earth, “I am here and I am listening.” What wisdom does Earth hold for you?

For everything that emerges from Earth
thanks be to you, O God,
Holy Root of being
Sacred Sap that rises
Full-bodied Fragrance of Earth's unfolding form.
May we know that we are of You
may we know that we are in You
may we know that we are one with You
together one.
Guide us as nations to what is deepest
open us as peoples to what is first
lead us as a world to what is dearest
that we may know the holiness of wholeness
that we may learn the strength of humility
that together we may live close to Earth
and grow in grounded glory.
