Dear Friends of Earth & Soul,
Blessings and love to you this December.
In the chapter on the Carmina Gadelica in his book Sacred Earth Sacred Soul, John Philip writes,
“As the birth of the Christ Child was acclaimed by angelic song, “…on earth peace, goodwill among people” (Luke 2:14), so the Christhood of every child, of every man and woman, was destined for the work of peace. To know the sacred essence of our being is to know also our calling to serve this sacredness in one another and in the relationships of our lives and world.”
This year has been one of immense challenges in our nation and world and we are being called to speak and act and live in ways that protect and support the most vulnerable in our communities. In this season of Advent, may we know the sacredness of all beings and the sacredness of Earth. Let us look to the heart of one another, to the light that is in all life, and serve one another in love.
You are invited to join us for an online Solstice Celebration, Saturday, December 20. Our time together will include music, prayer, a reading followed by silence and the spiritual practice of sacred listening. We will close our time together with the ritual of light.
